At Michigan Surgery Specialists, we continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and take essential steps to keep our patients, staff and physicians safe.
Who can be seen in-office?
As a healthcare provider, our offices have remained open to treat patients for their hand & orthopedic surgery needs during this difficult time. We have been limiting in-office visits to patients with urgent needs, such as:
- Fractures
- Severe Pain
- Tendon Lacerations
- Infections
- Post-op appointments requiring suture removal or cast changes.
All of our office locations have been taking extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of our patients. Surfaces and equipment are being cleaned with disinfectant after every patient, physicians and staff are washing hands, changing out gloves and wearing masks during each appointment and we are limiting waiting room sizes to encourage social distancing.
Are you able to participate in Telehealth?
If you have an non-urgent need and would still like to talk to one of our Hand or Orthopedic surgeons, there is another option for you! Our practice is also working hard to provide telehealth visits to patients whenever possible. Telemedicine visits can be conducted with any patient who has the ability to audio and video chat over apps such as Skype, FaceTime and GoogleDuo on a smart phone, computer or tablet.
