Dr. Scott Samona graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wayne State University in 2008. He then graduated from Michigan State College of Human Medicine in 2012, achieving high honors in his surgical clerkship. Following his medical school training, he completed his General Surgery residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in 2017. Dr. Samona then obtained further training in Louisville, Kentucky at the world-renowned Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery, where the world’s first successful hand transplant was performed.
Dr. Samona specializes in complex disorders and injuries of the hand, wrist, and forearm. He also performs microscopic vascular and nerve surgery as well as minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery.
Dr. Samona treats his patients with compassion and is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care.
