Andrew M. Moore, M.D.

Dr. Moore is an Orthopedic Surgeon with additional fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Moore grew up on the coast of North Carolina and attended Vanderbilt University where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Molecular Biology. He then attended medical school at the University of North Carolina, where he graduated at the top of his class and earned a Doctorate of Medicine with Distinction.

He completed a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Michigan in 2009, during which he developed an interest in foot and ankle surgery. Among other publications, Dr. Moore first-authored an internationally published paper on total ankle replacements. He went on to complete a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Rochester in New York, where he was mentored by some of the leading academic foot and ankle surgeons in the country.

After spending some time in private practice, he accepted a position at Trinity Health in 2011 and moved to Saline, Michigan, where he and his family live currently. He has practiced at many facilities in southeast Michigan and is excited to be joining Michigan Surgical Specialists and Dr. Caroline Wurtzel to focus his practice in Chelsea and serve the greater community.

His clinical interests include all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, such as injuries, sports medicine, arthroscopy, reconstruction, limb preservation and a special interest in less-invasive surgeries and treatments. He has considerable experience and expertise treating ankle and foot arthritis, bunions, hammertoes, rheumatoid arthritis, ankle instability, tendon conditions, fractures, and diabetic foot problems.

When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, boating and growing dwarf conifers. He is a member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

“I draw on my extensive training and thirteen years of practice to provide patients with highly individualized care, to deliver better outcomes while also minimizing risks and the disruption of daily life while they heal.”
