Andres Munk, M.D.

Dr. Andres Munk joined Michigan Surgery Specialists in the fall of 2023, coming into the practice with 25 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon, specializing in injuries and illnesses of the spine. His strives to not only identify the cause of his patient’s complaint, but also understand how it interferes with their daily function and ability to enjoy activities. In practice, he focuses on simple treatment options, starting with more conservative measures before resorting to surgery. Getting the patient back to a full level of function is top priority!

While Dr. Munk is able to treat all spine disorders, he has a particular interest and expertise in Sacroiliac (SI) joint pain and dysfunction, ranking as one of the world leaders in diagnosing and treating SI joint disorders.
