Dr. Lasater is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with further fellowship training in sports medicine. He is originally from the Grand Rapids, MI area. He attended college at Baylor University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in economics. He then went on to earn his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Upon graduation, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State University/Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, MI. Following this, he pursued a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the University of Minnesota/TRIA Orthopaedic Center in Minneapolis, MN. During his time there, he provided sports medicine coverage for the Minnesota Twins, the ESPN X-games, local area high schools, and regional junior hockey league teams.
While obtaining his undergraduate degree at Baylor University, Dr. Lasater received the Provost’s scholarship, was a member of several academic honor societies, was routinely on the Dean’s List, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. While attending Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Lasater received the Palmer Scholarship Award in Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Lasater’s hobbies include activities such as traveling, exercise, basketball and spending time with family. He also enjoys watching college sports such as football and basketball, especially for his alma mater, Baylor University.
