Outpatient Treatment

Motus Rehabilitation

What to Know

Michigan Surgery Specialists offers in-house outpatient therapy services through our sister company, Motus Rehabilitation. Therapy is vital to the recovery process. Surgery treats the anatomical issues related to your injury, but often, therapy is required to reduce swelling and tension. Depending on the diagnosis, your doctor may refer you to Motus as an alternative to surgery.

Motus Rehabilitation is a full-service occupational therapy, physical therapy, and orthotics clinic, specializing in personalized treatment plans to give you the best possible outcome.

We work together in the same building to ensure that you get the attention and personalized care that you deserve.

What to Expect

After your doctor recommends you to a therapist, the doctor and therapists work together to evaluate your needs and create a one of a kind treatment plan to help you heal.

During therapy sessions, you can expect to perform essential stretching and exercises that are intended to decrease your pain, improve range of motion, and strengthen your muscles. If at any time during these sessions you feel any pain or discomfort, your assigned therapists will adapt your treatment plan. Motus Rehabilitation’s mission is to help you heal, and eliminate your pain.

If your doctor recommends a brace or device, our orthotics lab has the unique ability to craft your custom device in the office.
