Hand Surgery

hand surgery

What to Know

Hands are a complex structure made of joints, muscles, and tendons that must function properly to prevent injury, pain, and complications. If any of these systems fail, hand surgery may be necessary. Our highly qualified surgeons have the knowledge and experience to ensure you have the best possible outcome.

At Michigan Surgery Specialists, our goal is to treat each of our patients with compassion and show professionalism at all times. We care about your health and safety, which is why our surgeons are with you throughout the whole process.

What to Expect

During your first visit, the doctor will evaluate your injury or illness and make a diagnosis. Based on the diagnosis, your doctor will explain your treatment options and provide recommendations.

If surgery is necessary, you will have a pre-operation appointment with your surgeon. During this time, the surgeon will explain the procedure, give you instructions on your surgery preparation, and address any questions or concerns you may have.

Once your surgery is completed, you may have up to three post-operation visits depending on the type of procedure. This is to ensure that you have a smooth and safe recovery.

We want our patients to feel well informed about their procedure. If at any point throughout the surgery process you have a question or concern, our staff is always available to speak to you directly.
